jobs & joys in Copenhagen dispatch W46
Handpicked jobs, tiny joys, and excuses to leave the house.
Here’s a new batch of jobs and joys that have come across my desk.

Hey friend, how’s it going?
You might’ve thought I was going to mention that thing that happened. But no, I can’t, not yet at least—so let’s indulge in a bit of maniacal denial, shall we?
It’s been a month since I started this leisure of mine (aka, this newsletter), and what a ride it’s been. I managed to convince 60 (!!!) of you to join me and subscribe. As I don’t come from a big family and my friends are way too disorganised to fake that many accounts, some of you have to be strangers here. Just picture 60 people together—it’s like a small wedding!
Since this is basically our tiny wedding party, I want to make sure I’m really nurturing us. hey! I see ya! well, I don't, but I’d like to. I want to do something super special for us; I’m thinking.. what about a holiday gift guide? or an interview with someone who’s recently got a job after a long search? I think that would be quite inspirational. If you have ideas, bring it on!
Usually, I kick things off with jobs, but this week? Let’s jump straight to joys.
Joys
Places, events & articles that spark joy.

The Christmas market season has officially started! With BaneGaarden & Frederiksberg Have or Nomad CPH taking the lead next week already, brace yourself for the start of tis’ the season. 🎄
Another absolutely joyous one is this Boozy Brunch & Yoga, which that sounds… well something you might just have to experience for yourself! Yep, this is real. How does it work? I’m not sure, but I kind of want to find out, don’t you?
There’s a new restaurant opening *today*! Middle- Eastern Levantin had me at a ‘pickle plate’.
I’ve mentioned Bake Sale for Gaza before, but I will mention it again. Be a pal to humanity (& to carbs); show up! 🫶
It will be no surprise to tell you Copenhagen has this incredible underbelly of an independent food & music scene, family-friendly places/events, and a thriving startup ecosystem. Here are the English-speaking sources I rely on day in, day out. So you can too. If you’re in any doubt and you’re thinking eh, i’ll just follow them on their socials. Are we really trusting algorithms to deliver when we need it? So, here you go—my personal cheat sheet:
The Jungle List, my favourite weekly guide to the food scene, helping me explore all the best eats Copenhagen has to offer! Don’t we all need a little handholding to find the best spots from time to time?
Mondayfriday is here weekly w/ the latest & greatest on startups & tech in Denmark and beyond.
Scandinavia Standard — especially their monthly “What’s On in Copenhagen” roundup, is gospel.
Copenhagen with Kids is THE go-to for family-friendly activities in Copenhagen (which I need approximately all the time!)
The Copenhagen Post & Last Week In Denmark helps with the FOMO around local news and happenings.
Forkert — for the latest in Copenhagen's music scene and live events.

A quick s/o to the Go-to-Market (or GTM) Signals newsletter by the legends from Bobbie & Beastie. If you’re in marketing, this is a resource you want to know about.
AFAIK, none of the jobs require Danish language proficiency (though I’m sure it’s a plus to mention you’re learning). Apply if you have at least 80% match with your CV, but I’m sure you already know all that. Good luck!
PS: if you get hired upon discovering the job here, I’m sooo happy for you. Also, let me know? I’d love to know, you know. x
All typos are intentional to make sure you’re paying attention.
Do you know of any job openings or fun articles/events?
Reach out! I’m dying to know. (And most likely post about it in the coming weeks)

🤩👏🏽 fun and enjoyable read!
